![]() The tiny cup of macchiato (RM9) packed a real punch. Servings of coffee completed the meal: latte, cappuccino and macchiato. The menu also offers a selection of tea, coffee and chocolate, besides a variety of beer and aerated water. The combination with a drizzle of maple syrup sounds odd but the recipe actually works quite well. On the other hand, the Brioche French Toast RM19.50 had slices of sweet, vanilla maple-syrup-soaked brioche combined with brulee banana and homemade salted peanut butter smoked bacon. It was made better with the tartness of the berries, citrus syrup, and vanilla mascarpone. ![]() The Prospector Hotcakes RM17.50 had a blend of chocolate and banana centered between hotcakes. More unusual dishes include the Prospector Hotcakes and Brioche French Toast. Prawns, Garlic & Tomato spaghetti RM24.50 ![]() The de-shelled prawns were fresh and nicely done, giving flavor and a little bounce with each bite. The accompanying vegetables added the crunch for the dish.įor the pasta dish, we went for the Prawns, Garlic & Tomato spaghetti where wheat spaghetti were cooked with prawns, oven dried tomatoes, brandy and parmesan cheese. The taste and flavors were further amplified with the poached egg that blended wonderfully with the ingredients on the plate. The Morning On the Roll was served with poached egg, smoked bacon, salted egg yolk hollandaise and sun-dried cherry tomatoes. The Such A Good Waffle was a mix of reassuring flavors, with arugula, fried egg, gammon ham, BBQ baked beans, and salted egg yolk Hollandaise. We had two dishes that were served with eggs: Such A Good Waffle and Morning On the Roll. The dish at RM22.50 came out a little smaller than expected but the flavours really do pack a punch. We started the meal with the Baron’s Grilled Cheese, Morning On the Roll, Such A Good Waffle and Prawns, Garlic & Tomato spaghetti.įor cheesy choice, the Baron’s Grilled Cheese is an offering with a medley of cheese, blueberry, spinach, and balsamic glaze on sourdough with a simple salad. As we wanted some fresh juices, the waitress suggested that we freshen up with choices of apple, orange and beetroot. There were four of us and it was a good opportunity to taste a bit of everything. The menu has coffee prepared with selection of coffee beans from Thailand, and a colourful range of MSG free hearty dishes like pasta, sandwiches, toast and waffles. The quaint cafe, marked by its charming white color, is run by the lovely people from Georgetown Wines. ![]() Tucked away on Beach Street in Penang, is Urban Daybreak, a breakfast-brunch hotspot. ![]()
